In 1998, Radiohead's OK Computer was the album you, the Q massive, elected the finest ever made. Fast forward to 2003, and Thom Yorke and co had been deposed in your affections by Nirvana's Nevermind. Ah, the endlessly fickle nature of the business we call music.
Ever mindful of such things, we are once more steeling ourselves to take the ultimate sounding on the state of the musical world right here, right now. Yes, Q's definitive (it is, after all, compiled by that most passionate, knowledgable and, dammit, good-looking of electorates: you) list of the greatest albums ever made is back on the launch pad and awaiting lift-off.
All that's now required is for you to cast your votes. List your favourite albums in descending order on the form below; add a line or two of your erudite thoughts on what makes each one so great; and hit the submit button!
Closing date: 1 October 2005. Everyone who votes will be entered into a prize draw, the winner of which will be presented with all of the albums that make the final list. Which is nice. |
